I’m always open to feedback on my site. Here, on User Voice, you can make suggestions that you think might be helpful, including new suggestions for tutorials, comments about how the site itself works, or anything else that you want to share.

Please be courteous when interacting with others. Keep things constructive, and stay away from mean, cruel or obscene comments. (These will be removed immediately, and will result in your account/machine being blocked.)

If you have other comments that aren’t a good fit for this particular type of setup, don’t hesitate to email me directly.

I think you should ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  2. Write a tutorial about quaternions.

Quaternions are very confusing. I've been told they're helpful with a chase camera for a space game, but I'm unclear on what quaternions even are, or how I'd go about using them to do something meaningful in a game.

  3. Make tutorials that involve something the user can see be executed. It's all abstract unless I can see something executed.

What's the point of a tutorial or programming if it doesn't do anything. I downloaded, unzipped, and tried to run the classes program, but it doesn't do anything. What's the point?

  4. Add Blender, an all-in-one tool for 3D works, to your "Game Development Kit"-Site

Blender is an extremely powerful (and free!) tool to work with 3D stuff, including among other Modeling, Materials, Rigging, an Animation Toolset, Sculpting, UV (Un-)Wrapper, it has tools for Game Creation and also allows to port models in both .x and .fbx format (the latter with an easy-to-install plugin).
It's just awesome and I whonder why it is not mentioned here.
Maybe because it's difficult to master?

  6. Thank you for the great tutorials. They are well explained.

I have followed the Coursera C#/Monogame course and the Microsoft c# course and would like to state that your tutorials withe code snippets and the simple well structured explanations are by far the bestI have followed up to now. many thanks and good Karma.

  10. Xbox Controller Vibration

In this tutorial about vibration, you said it's easy, but it doesn't work.

I use Microsoft Visual C#2010 Express, but it seems I'm not alone with this trouble

  15. Clarify 2 things about MonoGame content managment.

there are two things, one, i have read elsewhere that content unload doesn't actually work, and two, why does content need to be unloaded?, what does unloading it actually do?.

i haven't gotten very advanced with coding or C sharp yet, so i don't know if the answer is obvious or something, but it would be nice to know.

P.S. i have a question, i use a macbook pro, i intent to use bootcamp to run visual studio MonoGame, but i am concerned about some of the keys that aren't on macs, like the lack of the # symbol, i…

  16. Update the delegates tutorial because it's not the most understandable tutorial in the C# Crash Course.

In talking with somebody via email, it has become incredibly clear to me that this tutorial is actually pretty weak. I needs some code that puts everything together at the end, and it probably also needs to just have a different sample. I don't think that MagicNumber thing really captures the power of delegates very well.
